This chair broke. I can't find any contact information to contact the seller.
The instructions are awful and I could not find any videos online about the chair except for a few about the sound. I could not read parts of the instructions even using my phone and zoom function. The font is small. Part of it was smeared.
As far as I could tell I had to flip a switch on the engine to "electric" to use it. I looked everywhere on it. I even got in the floor and looked all over it while it was open. I have mobility issues so that was like torture. Finally, I flipped the only switches I could find on the wheels. I put them in lock. Then it would work. I would have never put it in LOCK to make it GO. I just tried it out of exasperation. That was one of the first things that took about an hour.
Then I raised the arms on it so I could get in and out of it easier. I could not get the arms to come back down. I couldn't use it with the controller up in the air. I turned the little switch under the arm many times. I tried everything I could think of to get the arm down. The instruction manual said to simply push it down until it clicks. Finally, I did exactly that. It broke on the plastic piece that is about 1/2" in diameter. Now the arm is just floating free. I can prop it up on the bar, but it is not safe.
I cannot find anyone to talk to about it. I need a new arm for it.
It took me a couple of hours just to get this together and figure out how to get it to work.
Other than that it does work. It is extremely sturdy. I can use it at the sink by lifting up the arms. I can wash dishes and do some cooking. No matter how far out I reach it stays steady. It is sporty so it is kind of hard to turn in the house. I didn't think about that when I got it, but it is fine. I just have to be patient and go forward and back up a lot to get through a tight turn. I would have given it a 5 but it has horrible instructions and virtually no support.
If there's anyone out there from the seller please contact me.
Update - I was contacted by the seller. They sent me a free replacement part. No instructions. I figured it out, though, so it is as good as new. I appreciate their courteous service. I feel they need instructional videos on their website or YouTube to show how to put this together and use it. it would have saved me much time and headache. They would not have had to send a part, so it would help them too. Overall, though I really like the wheelchair. It's sturdy enough that I wash dishes from it, cook in it, and do laundry in it. It is not made for sharp turns so it takes a lot of patience, but I like how sturdy it is.
Update: I was contacted by the company and got a new part to fix it for free. It works great now. I still feel I wouldn't have broken it if it had come with some good instructions or had an instructional video on Amazon to refer to. I have taken it out in my yard. It does great outside. The turn on it is wide, though, so to make tightish corners it has to be backed up and moved forward many times in small increments. For the price I feel it is sturdy and does a good job. It can go pretty fast. I haven't had any problems with the battery on it.
